    Missing Tasks under Setup Tasks

    Lauren Briggs · 0 · Posted

Does anyone know why we are missing a chunk of the task lists/options under "Setup Tasks?" Do we need to update Clarity? We just recently updated to 2024 and our build number is 24.0.5.0.

What is the file path that I need to enter for the "ProCore Folder" in the "ProCore Sync" task?

Hector · 1 · Last reply by Matt Mason

We were invited to work with a client's ProCore site and I would like to automate the requested Revit model upload. I am now looking for the folder path that I need to enter for the ProCore sync directory.

Where is the historical data that drives the model metrics graphs?

Scott MacKenzie · 1 · Last reply by Scott MacKenzie

I would like to be able to track the Model Score progress of all the Revit models in a project over a timeline.  Is the data that drives the model metrics graphs accessible? See image below.

I would like to create a line chart of all the models in a project, or the model score average of each project in our office.

    Thanks.

Is it safe to upgrade our Task Servers to Autodesk Desktop Connector 16.5?

Eric Stimmel · 1 · Last reply by Matt Mason

Seems like a bunch of bug fixes and given how buggy it is, we're just hoping it will help a little to be on the same version as our users. It's been out for nearly 2 months now and I imagine you've had some time to test, but if it's more problematic to upgrade than to stay at 16.4, we will wait.

    IFC export task

Derek Becher · 2 · Last reply by Derek Becher

Using Clarity to export a Revit model to IFC doesn't work with linked Revit models. When clarity exports it produces one IFC model per Revit link and they are all empty. Manually exporting these models will produce one IFC model per linked Revit model with all the content of those links. Can we get the clarity IFC task to behave the same way as the manual IFC export? I have tried the IFC and IFC alternate tasks.

Does anyone have an example of a LinkRemapInstructions.txt file that I can use as a go-by? Thank you.

Ted · 4 · Last reply by Ted

I am looking for a way to automatically link models after running an "Update Revit Model from Disk" task.  The very last option is a "Re-map Links".  Which states the option is to, "change the mapping of the links, based on the remap file on the task server."  See the attached file for the only mention of the LinkRemapInstructions.txt file that I can find.

    Any help is appreciated.

When we enable the 'Auto-Deactivate Inactive Projects' feature, does it 'catch up' and deactivate projects that are already considered inactive?

Eric Stimmel · 2 · Last reply by Matt Mason

For example, if I turn that feature on and set it to deactivate projects that haven't been modified in 365 days and we already have projects that meet that criteria, will they be immediately deactivated or does this feature just start keeping track from the time it's enabled? Additionally, is this feature always running or is it more like a scheduled task that only runs once per week or day?

How to set Clarity to truly run tasks "Only On Change"

Holden Fleck · 1 · Last reply by Matt Mason

I have been having some issues with task queue saturation recently that I haven't previously. From what I have found it appears that projects with models that haven't been synced by non-clarity users for months or even years are churning out tasks for all models, despite being set to "On Change" for all their tasks. This results in Current Tasks filling up too quick for our Clarity task machines to handle. Left on its own, Clarity ends up with a 2000-3000 task backlog after a day or two. Teams expecting PDFs or DWGs are seeing delays and my planned runtimes

Is it possible to change the Check Engine symbol?

Eric Stimmel · 1 · Last reply by Matt Mason

We like the ability to flag projects with low Model Scores, but some of our team members do not appreciate the humor of the icon and would prefer something more banal like a red octagon. Is there a way for us to specify a symbol or can we request an additional setting for this?

    filter a door table

Dave Peterson · 2 · Last reply by Matt Mason

I'd like to filter a door table that I'm adding to a Data sheet.  We have nested door panels in our assembled door families.  Currently when I make a Door Table, it's showing the individual nested door families as well as the overall assemble family.  We have used the "Appears In Schedule" parameter to filter out the panels in our Revit Door schedule, I'd like the ability to do the same in our door tables that we've added to our data sheets.

I've looked at the help menu and I see an option to filter Category Tables, but I don't

For BIM360 / ACC projects, can Clarity detect the upgrade and adjust the Clarity Project Settings accordingly?

Eric Stimmel · 2 · Last reply by Matt Mason

We've had a few cases where projects were upgraded on ACC and the BIM Manager forgot to go to Clarity and ugrade the project there and tasks just stopped running. Is it possible for Clarity to just do this on it's own?

How does Clarity decide what users to email when tasks complete or fail?

Angelica · 1 · Last reply by Angelica

When Clarity sends out emails for errored or completed tasks, it sends to the Project Coordinators and then some of the Task Coordinators. Is there a method there? It seems pretty inconsistent to the Task Coordinators it selects. Thanks.

How many times does a task fail before it disables?

Angelica · 2 · Last reply by Andreas Dieckmann

As the question says,  after a task fails so many times Clarity disables it and adds a note in the task (which is great). How many fails does it take disable?

What is the max concurrent tasks a central host will support?

Paul Patterson · 2 · Last reply by Paul Patterson

We have thousands of tasks defined across several projects on a single central host.

Each of the projects have dedicated Task Machines to them - limited at the project level, but also via project and task type filtering on the task machine.

I observe that when one project has kicked off a large amount of tasks, other project tasks will sit in a new status - even though their respective task machine is sitting there twiddling thumbs.

It feels like that when the task machine is querying for tasks, it is performing something similar to a "select top 1000" ..

    "Run a Script" Parameter List

Paul Patterson · 2 · Last reply by Paul Patterson

    Hi There,

I am trying to pipe the outputs of a task into another app using the "Run a script" post action.

The documentation : Help: Clarity 2024.1 for Revit (and AutoCAD)...

... mentions, "(Optional) Temporary file containing a list of the files processed by the task".

How would I get the name of this parameter? The documentation is a bit lacking in this space.

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul

Can I choose between Project Base Point or Shared Coordinate while exporting .ifc file format?

    Chitt Kapadia · 0 · Posted

We currently lack the ability to select coordinate systems when exporting IFC using Clarity Task. However, for one of our projects, it's required to export the project with both the base point and the shared coordinates. Is it feasible to incorporate this option into the existing task?

    Large print jobs time out

Josh Clark · 1 · Last reply by Matt Mason

We have a very large project (lots of large site models, lots of buildings) all in a single project that we need to print many small PDF sets from. It seems when it get to this task it ALWAYS times out due to how long it simply takes to open. Is there a setting we are missing here or can someone from IMAGINiT hop on a call with us to review our task setups and errors?
