How do I create a Project Query?

Tom Kemp · 2 · Last reply by Tom Kemp

I'm trying to generate a report (Project Query) of all the projects we have in Clarity with some information that we have as parameters in the Revit Project Information.

I setup the table with the fields that I want to include.  When I try to create a report I get this error message:

We would like CLarity to report the filename and path for the keynote file that is used for each model.  Is there a way to get Clarity to report this?

Is is possible to export a project's model metrics summary to PDF or Excel?

Scott MacKenzie · 4 · Last reply by Scott MacKenzie

I would like to create a report of a project's model metrics summary (see image below) and send it to the folks working on that project.  This would be one way to keep a project team aware of issues that are a problem now, and those that can cause problems in the future.  Anything I can do to educate Revit users on the keeping project models working smoothly is worth trying. And also I would like to have something to refer to if I need to justify the time it takes to clean up after everyone.

_backup folder deletion script through Clarity

Dylan Scheumann · 2 · Last reply by Dylan Scheumann

I have a PublishRevitModel task running through Clarity, and a batch file as a post-action. I was able to resolve most issues I had with the file, except one. Clarity creates a "_backup" folder in the location that it's publishing to, and my batch file calls a powershell script that at one point deletes this folder. The rest of the functions in the script work exactly as intended, but the _backup folder isn't getting deleted. I'm assuming this is most likely because there is something open/being edited in the _backup folder through Clarity when my batch file starts. If I

    Post-action task problems

Dylan Scheumann · 5 · Last reply by Dylan Scheumann

I'm trying to run a batch file as a post-action in a task in clarity. The batch file works perfectly when I run it separate from Clarity, but doesn't work when I run it as a post-action through Clarity. Why is this? I've also considered making it a separate task, but can't figure out how to only run a batch file this way.

Does Clarity 2019 support Revit 2020?

Samuel Leo · 1 · Last reply by Matt Mason

We have installed the latest Clarity update on both Central Host and Task Server but don't see Revit 2020 support yet.  With Revit 2020 out, and the so many improvements implemented that would benefit all disciplines, we are seeing an increase interest to start using Revit 2020 even before it's 1st Service Pack is released.

    Links in Emails: URL formatting

Andreas Dieckmann · 2 · Last reply by Matt Mason

Links in Clarity-generated emails are by default formatted using HTTP and the server name, e.g.:

    http://SERVERNAME//CentralAdministrator/ProjectTasks/TaskStatus/178

What do we need to do in order to have them formatted using HTTPS and the server URL, e.g.:

    https://SERVERDOMAIN.COM/CentralAdministrator/ProjectTasks/TaskStatus/178

We tried the settings "Notify URL Type" (both with "External" and "Fixed") and "Notify URL location" in the Settings menu but instead of the URL we entered links in emails now pointed to the server's IP address (and no https).

Filter Files Based on a Sub-Folder

Tom Kemp · 5 · Last reply by Matt Mason

We have a couple of standard sub-folders under our working folder where our models live.  1 is for archive copies of the Revit model, the other is for linked Revit models from consultants.

We would like to be able to include the linked models folder, but exclude the archive folder.  I can do this with the individual files, but it would be much easier to be able to set those up when we create the project and not have to manage it with each archive or update.

    Filter total hours saved

Matt P · 1 · Last reply by Matt Mason

I know in the Clarity web UI we can see the total time saved on the task servers page but this is a running total from when the system came online.   We can also see total time saved for each project on the project pages in the web.

Is there any way to filter time saved numbers by date or by project tags or by type of task?  Is this possible in the SQL management studio?

What does archiving a project do in relationship to metric data?   We want to keep model metric information in the system but remove the projects from the all projects page as there is no more need to run tasks.   How does this work?
