How to set Clarity to truly run tasks "Only On Change"
I have been having some issues with task queue saturation recently that I haven't previously. From what I have found it appears that projects with models that haven't been synced by non-clarity users for months or even years are churning out tasks for all models, despite being set to "On Change" for all their tasks. This results in Current Tasks filling up too quick for our Clarity task machines to handle. Left on its own, Clarity ends up with a 2000-3000 task backlog after a day or two. Teams expecting PDFs or DWGs are seeing delays and my planned runtimes are all off.
It seems like either Clarity is thinking that its last sync in a model signifies a change and so it runs again (thereby entering a cycle that breaks the "Only On Change" functionality), or it is ignoring the "Only On Change" option in certain or all projects.
Anyone encountered something similar? I have tried reaching out to support and Sherry let me know that Clarity does not discount its own syncs from activity monitoring, which leads me to think that it is in a loop seeing its own syncs. This seems to break the Only On Change funnctionality. What am I missing here?
Thank You,
Holden
