Where is the historical data that drives the model metrics graphs?

Scott MacKenzie · 1 · Last reply by Scott MacKenzie

I would like to be able to track the Model Score progress of all the Revit models in a project over a timeline.  Is the data that drives the model metrics graphs accessible? See image below.

I would like to create a line chart of all the models in a project, or the model score average of each project in our office.

    Thanks.

    Floors in Project Query

Dan Warren · 1 · Last reply by Dan Warren

I'm trying to set up a project query for floors. I cannot find the floor category from the dropdown.

There is an entry for Roofs but not Floors. I found MassFloors, but I don't think that's the object I'm looking for.

    Column Grid Reports

Scott MacKenzie · 4 · Last reply by Scott MacKenzie

I do not see Grids as a category (source table) option when creating a new project report.  I want to get a report of the worksets all my grids are on, if they are pinned and if they are monitoring grids in a linked model.  Also, I do not see a Grids table in the RandRevit SQL database.  Should there be?

I'm running tasks Database Export, Model Metrics and Performance Advisor.  I would assume that is enough to get column grid data into the database.

Currently we have Clarity version 22.1.18.0

    Thanks!

    Breaking Large Print Jobs Up

Dan Warren · 1 · Last reply by Matt Mason

If I wanted to take a large print job (several hundred pages) and break it up into multiple smaller jobs that could be distributed across multiple task servers, how would I do that?

This is what I have built so far:

    1) In Revit break the print set into multiple sets "Print Set Name X of Y". This could be done relatively quickly with one of many tools (dynamo, ideate, etc.).

    2) Create identical PDF tasks for each "X of Y" print set. Post task action place the PDFs in a common location.

    3) Schedule the tasks to run at

Copying Revit Files from one BIM 360 folder to another in the same project.

Dan Warren · 3 · Last reply by Matt Mason

Once a week my team goes into BIM 360 and does this to copy the published models out for other teams to download/use. We literally go into BIM 360 and use this command on 4-5 models each week.

I'm trying to figure out how I can automate this for the team. The Copy File command doesn't seem to have a straightforward way of copying from 1 BIM 360 folder to another.

Can you use Project Parameters in post task action tasks?

Dan Warren · 1 · Last reply by Dan Warren

As the subject states. The support documentation says this:

Does this mean I could create an "Office" Parameter and use that parameter in the post task actions? See previous post on this here:

Add office to the available Keywords | IMAGINiT Support (helprace.com) So, a possible post task action path could be : "\\MyServerName\[Office]\[Project]\Clarity Stuff"

It appears that way after read this:

However I don't see anything related to how to specifically call a Project Parameter in a task or post task action.

Automate exports of Revit Schedules to a file path on local server? Thanks!

Ken · 3 · Last reply by Matt Mason

Hello there! Passionate user of Clarity. Thank you for all the hard work! I've created a PowerBi Dashboard that works with Revit Schedule .txt files. I see there is a functionality to automate schedule exports, but the schedules save on the Clarity site. Is there an option to specify a file path on your local server? Thanks!

    Clarity Rand Database exporting

    Hafis Jamal · 0 · Posted

As we were exporting the Clarity Rand database using SQL server connection, we came across couple of hurdles.

    • Clarity index data base is empty

    • The Modeltime query table is only available for some users, we need that to be available for all the users working on the models.

There are some query tables that are empty. E.g. (Diagnostic chart, User group, User group project, User group Revit user) Only some users are visible in user query tables.  Model Size is negative and unreal number is query tables. We need to produce a 'matrics over time' diagram like below.

    Duplicate Projects on BIM360/ACC list.

Dan Warren · 3 · Last reply by Matt Mason

During project startup we've started seeing this a lot.

Multiple identical projects on the BIM360/ACC project list. This is really confusing as one of these projects is the correct project.  If we pick the wrong project during startup all the tasks fail out as clarity "Cannot find a revit model..."

Currently or fix is this: 1) Identify if a project is set correctly (revit file names, file filters, etc) 2) If the project is set correctly- Delete the clarity project and make a new project pointed at a different project on the list (maybe this is the correct one, this

    Revit Model Report

Alan Crystal · 4 · Last reply by Matt Mason

When pulling data for a custom revit model report, is this done through the DBExport task? If so, are there specific settings required for the DBExport task? I have a report set up, and have run the DBExport task, but no data is displaying in the report.

Is there any reason that the Family Upgrader task doesn't support family template files with the .RFT file extension?

Eric Stimmel · 1 · Last reply by Eric Stimmel

The task description is very clear (and empirical testing confirms) that this only works on .RFA files, but there's really no difference in the files. We can change the file extension using a file renamer, run the upgrade, then rename back, but it would be nicer if the task just did this.

    Report Task Duration?

Mike Underwood · 4 · Last reply by Mike Underwood

Is there a way to view how long each task takes to run?

I'm sure it's right in front of my face somewhere, but I'm trying to determine just how long it takes for each task to initiate, open the Revit model, perform the operation, perform the post-action, and then close the model.  I can see in the task list, the time stamp for when each task is completed.  I could do some excel magic if I knew when each task initiated, but that info is not shown.  Only the date is shown.  Am I looking at the wrong tool

How to set up task machines to run AutoCAD tasks?

Holden Fleck · 1 · Last reply by Holden Fleck

    Hello There!

I set up an AutoCAD eTransmit task in one of our projects to see if I could get Clarity to make clean copies of a CAD file into a shared FTP folder to go out to consultants.

The task setup was straightforward enough, but after I ran it it is just sitting in the queue not being grabbed. I realized that maybe I needed to go into the Clarity task tray settings on one of the task machines and enable AutoCAD tasks to run, but the option isn't where I expected it to be.

    Multiple Projects Same Working Directory

Mike Underwood · 1 · Last reply by Mike Underwood

I have a project (task: nwc export, post action-move files) that processes files in a given working directory and its subfolders.  It's filtering to Revit file names that start with a specific text string.  I'd like to process the same working directory and its subfolders to get files that start with a different text string, export nwc files, and then move them to a different folder than the one above.  I was told a few years ago that I couldn't create multiple projects on a given folder.  Is that still, or even, was that ever true?

Clarity Not Exporting to Artifact Folder

Brandon Schafer · 3 · Last reply by Brandon Schafer

When I export a PDF from Clarity it generates the file, but then it doesn't save to the artifact folder. Instead it saves locally to the Documents folder on the machine and Clarity doesn't think a file has generated. It then errors out and doesn't proceed with the Box upload post action.
