Report Task Duration?

Is there a way to view how long each task takes to run?

I'm sure it's right in front of my face somewhere, but I'm trying to determine just how long it takes for each task to initiate, open the Revit model, perform the operation, perform the post-action, and then close the model.  I can see in the task list, the time stamp for when each task is completed.  I could do some excel magic if I knew when each task initiated, but that info is not shown.  Only the date is shown.  Am I looking at the wrong tool for the job?  Is there a report that could be configured?

ETA:  I see Timeline Overview and Timeline Detailed, which does get me the info I'm wanting.  So that's the short answer.  I'm still curious if there is a more flexible way to consume the data, like how you can export completed tasks to Excel.

Thanks again Matt!  Hopefully, our org will flip the switch on the 2022 upgrade sometime this year.

Side note: the 2022 version has a dedicated "Duration" column, so you  no longer have to do the math yourself.

Thanks Matt!

I'm about to switch on the workset filtering for a few tasks (if I can get IT to let me back in to the DBs), and would like to show how much more time we are saving, in a "we really should use more Clarity" kind of way.

I'm looking forward to the new version.

Mike,

Unfortunately it's a bit hard in this version. What we do inside of Clarity is to use the StartDate and CompletedDate on the task and calculate on-the-fly the difference.

In the Clarity 2022 version coming out at the end of the week, we've promoted "Duration" to be a dedicated field available in both the Completed Tasks page as well as the new Task Dashboard (Pivot Grid).

(Note: the number we use for the task duration does not include the Loading Time - you can find the loading time in the separate "LoadingTime" field on each task).
