    Remove all XREF-ed images and PDFs from the DWG exports

    Remove all (or embed)  XREF-ed images and PDFs from the DWG exports similar to ‘Remove PCP Output Files’ option.

    In our case we end up with tens of .jpeg and .pdf files because of the nature of some sheets we export from revit.

    Why does the BIM360/C4R Publish Task not run when scheduled when there are changes?

    Hello,

    We have several BIM360/C4R scheduled tasks that are not running even when we can see an Update is Available. It is hit and miss as to when these seem to run. We get no errors or completed info either. Not sure what we need to do on our end to facility this task. The publish needs to happen daily and it is not. Team is losing confidence in the product.

  • IMPORTANT: Desktop Connector Update

    We have been working with Autodesk for some time, trying to identify why the Desktop Connector and AdSSO components have been frequently "stepping on one another", causing the loss of the BIM360 token on Clarity Task Servers.

    Autodesk today released Desktop Connector 15.4.0.1677 Download: https://help.autodesk.com/view/CONNECT/ENU/?guid=GUID-03D59AAD-65B0-45E3-84F2-A12AAA5BB267 

    According to one Clarity customer who was involved in pre-release testing of this version, it resolved more than 70% of the "lost token" issues. While this is not 100% - we're extremely grateful for this kind of progress.

    We strongly recommend deploying this version of Desktop Connector to anyone who has had issues of the BIM360

  • Minor Security Issue with Log4Net

    There was recently a security issue published on the internet about the Apache Log4net component: https://www.cvedetails.com/cve/CVE-2018-1285/

    Unlike the previous issue about Apache Log4J, Clarity DOES in fact use this component.

    We do not believe that this security issue meaningfully affects Clarity customers. Here is why:

    The Clarity Help is not very helpful. All Tasks attempted in the last 4 hours have failed involving BIM360 Download, File Copy and Sharepoint download

    I have been trying to use the BIM360 Download, File Copy, Sharepoint Download all to no avail. I am unsure what to input in source folder or destination folder or how to use the post action tasks, as help on these Tasks provide very little in support. 

    Simply, I would like to synchronize my folders and files in BIM 360, not including the published or live revit models to MS Teams files. Ideally, we use Microsoft Teams and create a project that "mirrors" the BIM 360 project where the files in Teams should sync with a specific folder in the

    Was Onedrive Sync Task removed? I cannot see it in my list of Tasks

    I am noticing that we do not have the OneDrive Sync Task available or a few others, such as Dropbox or Google Drive. I do have the Sharepoint one though. Are they only available if it is authorized?

    Navisworks Conversion Not Saving Task in "Setup Task"

    I am trying to run the Navisworks conversion task but only on a specific server. When I pick that server and save the task, it doesn't get saved with all the other tasks.

    Have done an "Update and Run" and the task will run but not be saved, also it will be in the Completed Task queue.

    Whenever I pick "Project" for the scope instead of "Server" it will save the task with the others.

    Would it be possible to add line on the model metrics scatter plot?

    In the below I'm comparing score to warnings. And I can see the low and high for our warnings based on our firm standards. I think it might be helpful to see the check engine score line when viewing the model score metric.

    Woke up to every one of my tasks yesterday having timed out.... yay! But instead of the models freezing when opening from BIM 360, I found this lovely new pop-up from Autodesk. Just so you know, Autodesk cares about your privacy.

    Server is invald

    Tasks are no longer running. Server is saying that it is invalid. I'm not sure how to fix this. Please see attachments. Please let me know if I need to add further log files.

    Batch Task Definition Update

    We have tested and confirmed that the model metrics, database export, performance advisor and a couple select dyanmo scripts run as expected with the task workset definition set to NONE. This dramatically reduces the overhead time opening and running these routine tasks...

    Now, i have ~200 projects with 4 tasks that need their task definitions updated. Is there an easier way to do this than editing each project 1 by 1 in the web interface?

    We have had a variety of customers asking for a statement of whether we're affected by the Log4J / Log4Shell vulnerability.

    We do not use Log4J (or any other Java, for that matter) - so we should be unaffected.

    We DO use Autodesk Forge - and at one point a customer indicated that Autodesk's trust-and-security page still had "Forge" as pending. Autodesk has expanded the statuses on this page:

    Clarity does use:

    - Forge Data Management:  Not Vulnerable

    - Forge Design Automation: Mitigated (and we only use only if you opt into Clarity Cloud Processing)

    Input Nodes as User Interface for Clarity

    Hi,

    i would like to know if the Input Nodes in dynamo( prefixed with "Input") as per the PDF./help document is more sort of indicator that these nodes are input for users understanding or can they be used as a user interface on clarity server, so that when the task is created & executed, the server will provide with the UI option to specify the values or data set as per the input nodes defined in dynamo script.

    for example in the image attached, either the excel file path can be a UI option or if its a file path

    Task Queue Not Reflecting Active Tasks

    Our Clarity environment has been running into what seems to be a task saturation issue lately, meaning we have too many tasks in the queue each day for our task machines to complete before they time out in a "New" status. Around 70% of our tasks each day are timing out at this point.

    I would expect this if I had suddenly added a heavy load of projects at some point, but I have not. This issue of tasks not being run on time just popped up around the time where we updated from Clarity 2022 to 2022.1.

    'view/sheet set to print' from task sequence under shared laubchable parameters showing only 'ALL SHEETS'

    Created Launchable Task sequence for one revit file,  so the users can select which sheet set to export, under Launchable parameters --> ‘Shared’ selected 'view/sheet set to print'. When run the task that parameter drop down shows only ‘'ALL SHEETS' so user cannot select anything.

    Second issue is  If I click on the dots next to 'view/sheet set to print' --> ‘View Expression/SheetSet Selection’ I cannot select any of the check boxes, have to cancel and reopen to be able to select.

    Add a Project List export button

    When on the All Project page, and select the list view.  Add a button at the bottom of the page so that you can export the Clarity projects.
