  • Clarity Scheduled Tasks Run Time

    Sherry Pittman · 0 · Posted

When setting up a Clarity task on a scheduled time, there are some things to keep in mind.

    • Scheduled tasks are controlled by the Clarity Monitoring Service that runs on the host.
      • If the Monitoring service is not running, scheduled tasks will not run.

    • Tasks must be set to Enabled ‘Yes’
    • The time the tasks run is based on the equivalent time in the host timezone.
    • If the task is set to ‘Only on Change’
      • Has the model date changed since the last time the task was run? (using the date as shown on the project homepage)
      • Has the task definition
  • Clarity Annual Licenses

    Sherry Pittman · 0 · Posted

If you have annual licenses in Clarity, the license start and end dates are tied to your subscription start and end dates.

The license will start on your subscription start date and end a year and 10 days later.  There is a 10 day grace period built in which allows you time to renew your subscription and get a new authcode and license in place without a lapse in service.

When a new version of Clarity comes out, your assets are automatically updated in our system to that version of Clarity.

That doesn’t change anything on your system, but if

If you are unable to use the updater tool to automatically download and install the updates due to network restrictions, you can download them and run them manually. DOWNLOADS First you will need to download the following into a folder on the machines, do not unzip them: For example C:\Clarity\Updates Host http://s3.amazonaws.com/IMAGINiTSoftware/Updates/ClarityHost2026.zip Task Servers http://s3.amazonaws.com/IMAGINiTSoftware/Updates/ClarityTask2026.zip Updater Files Download the updater files from the links below and place them in the same folder as the content above.  For the txt files it will just bring up a web page with that text so just right click on the page and save

Option for showing subtasks in admin view

We use task sequences a lot. In the tasks admin views (dashboard and completed tasks) it would be very helpful to have an option to also show subtasks for quickly identifying which subtasks have failed. Currently it's super hard (i.e. many, many clicks) to identify subtasks that fail frequently.

  • Bridged models in Clarity

Mandi Bishop · 1 · Last reply by Dustin Gore

Bridge models cannot be opened as Live models within Revit, which previously limited your ability to work with these referenced models in Clarity. We've solved this by adding new functionality that allows you to open models as Published directly in Revit.

While this enhancement can be applied to any model in your project, it was specifically designed to address the limitations of bridged models. In the image below, multiple files are selected in the project's Files area to "Open as Published." This ensures Clarity operations run against the latest published versions of these models.

    Task queue priority management

Jeff Morris · 1 · Last reply by Jeff Morris

I am having a hard time getting my head around Clarity task queue management. I can see tasks enter the queue based on the value of Priority. However, my task servers still appear to claim tasks in the order the task was added to the queue regardless of Priority. My task servers are almost always in continuous use because of data harvesting we do on project models to track model usage and health. Those tasks have a priority of 10. However, teams with critical needs (i.e. print deadlines) create tasks with a priority less than that. I want those to

Please add an option for Family Upgrader to delete backup files!

Trevor Taylor · 1 · Last reply by Mandi Bishop

It would be helpful to have the option to upgrade RFAs, RVTs & RTEs that removes the Name.000#.Rxx files.

And also, please make process sub-directories optional.

    Thank you for your consideration.

The add-in adds an icon to the Revit ribbon.  This addin installs for multiple versions of Revit.

The image shows the Revit ribbon when a model that is setup in a Clarity Project is open.

Only first page of cards visible in Metrics Summary

In the Metrics Summary page that shows color-coded cards of the projects, there is no longer a way to go to the next page, so I can only see the first page of results.

Toggle to hide disabled task in project

    Derek Becher · 0 · Posted

Could a toggle be added to the tasks page within the projects to hide all the tasks that are currently disabled in the project? Some projects have a few dozen tasks setup and hiding the disabled tasks would help clean up the list. The filter at the top of the column is nice be it resets to easy. Could this be a project based setting or user based setting so it would be persist if the user left the page or logged out?

Open Workset after opening the model

    Evgeny Kurbatov · 0 · Posted

Often we define our tasks to open specific Worksets only, because opening all the Worksets takes too much time.

From time to time we get this message:

I have an idea how to overcome this problem.

    1. Open the model with all Worksets closed, i.e. option NONE.
    2. Now you can read the Worksets existing in the model
    3. Compare the existing Worksets against the requested Workset list.
    4. Open the Worksets which are requested and really exist in the model.
    5. Log the open and failed Worksets.

Organize tags in Project Home page based on Categories

Alex Olmos · 1 · Last reply by Mandi Bishop

Currently when tags are created by Clarity users, they are listed in alphabetical order and mixed along with the different categories. As more and more are added, it becomes a bit difficult to navigate on the All Projects page.

Would it be possible to have the project tags displayed on the All Projects page based on the categories (Revit Version, Project Type, Office, New Project, Custom)? Basically displayed in the grouping that shows under Manage Tags?

Also do we have the ability to customized the title of Tag Categories (such as Custom)? And add additional custom tag categories?

    Record Revit Clarity User Name

It would be useful for clarity communications through revit add-in to record user name. For instance name of person who records a Model Event" or name of person who accepts or rejects a change request.

Show which task sequences a task is used in

    Andreas Dieckmann · 0 · Posted

When in task edit mode, it would be great if the edit page included links to any task sequences the current task is assigned to. (In task sequences we can navigate to the tasks included in the sequences - why not the other way round as well?)

    Scheduled maintenance announcement

Andreas Dieckmann · 2 · Last reply by Brooke Peterson

It would  be great to have a mechanism for announcing scheduled maintenance on the host server. While we do inform users via Teams, people regularly miss these announcements. Waht I would like to see in Clarity:

    • Inputs for a message/announcement, a timespan for the maintenance window and a timespan for the announcement
    • The message announcement/message being displayed at the top of *all* pages (including the login screen) during the announcement period (we currently use the Appearance fields in the Settings menu for this).
    • Only admin logins possible during the maintenance period

Task Queue Visible to All Users

    Jason Rostar · 0 · Posted

It would be helpful to have a 'Current Tasks' view that would be available for ALL users of Clarity. Many of our staff are frustrated that when they launch a task, they have no idea if there are 100 tasks in front of them or if they are up next.

    User Role / Permissions Management

    Jason Rostar · 0 · Posted

Currently Clarity has a limited number of user roles and within the roles, the access / permissions are fixed. When expanding Clarity to a larger number of users, it would be helpful to have different tiers of user access / permissions / notification settings / project task editing ability.
