Banner showing users role in project

    Angelica · 0 · Posted

When a user is in a project on the web portal, it might be useful for a banner showing the users assigned role. This could be easily overlooked by someone that is an admin and well acquainted. But for regular users and new users, they might not understand why they see what they see per project.

  • Clarity Account Login Error – Your user account has been disabled

    Sherry Pittman · 0 · Posted

    Issue

There is a security feature in Clarity, if you try to log into the web portal, or through the task server configuration with the incorrect password more than the number of times set in settings, the account will be disabled.

You can modify this setting from the Server tab, Settings.

The task servers commonly use the Clarity@rand.com login, this account is sometimes also used in the Clarity Active Directory Synch tool on the host on the Clarity tab, you will want to update it there as well.

You will need to update it in all locations or it will

  • How to Add the Clarity App to ACC

    Sherry Pittman · 0 · Posted

In order to enable Clarity to access ACC projects, the account manager must specifically enable access at the Account level.

    To enable access:

    1. Sign into the ACC portal as an Account Admin:  https://acc.autodesk.com/
    2. Select the Apps icon
    3. Select the IMAGINiT Clarity app and Install
      1. We only need access to Document Management
    4. The icon will change to look like the image below and will show as Active.
    5. The published files should show up in Clarity after about 5 – 10 minutes.

Note: The Clarity ACC integration relies on the Forge interface for Project/model information; therefore, the models do not exist

ACC upload split into multiple tasks

Derek Becher · 2 · Last reply by Matt Mason

When uploading a large number of folders to ACC Clarity hits a quota limit. When uploading 1600 folder it took 9 hours and timed out. I split the uploading into multiple task each around 400 folders. This worked and only took around 2-3 hours to complete. Could we get an option to have clarity automatically split ACC uploads into multiple tasks?

  • Clarity 2025 Task Tray Configuration for Error Overrides

    Sherry Pittman · 0 · Posted

There are certain types of errors that will kill a Revit task.  Previously it was necessary to manually modify a config file.

In Clarity 2025, you can now just make the configuration changes in the Clarity task tray.

Make sure you log onto the task server as the designated Clarity account

    Error Handling Overrides

    • Open the Clarity task tray
    • On the Revit tab

On the Revit tab, under Revit Error Handling Option, there are a few options, if you want to make selections you will want to set it to specified.

    • None
      • No overrides
    • Detached Only
      • This would only apply

Exclude Certain Elements when purging using Revit Audit and Compact

MICAH HARMAN · 2 · Last reply by Jeffrey M Bayer

Would it be possible to add an option to preserve cetin elements (so they don't get purged) when purging through the Revit audit and compact task. Sometimes there are unused elements that need to be kept and it would be nice to be able to isolate these and keep them from being purged.

Email a group email to all members of project.

Angelica · 1 · Last reply by Derek Becher

It would be helpful for those instances that you need to communicate to the team at once. Perhaps the email to group could be on the Manage Users screen.

  • Task Sat in New Status too Long

    Sherry Pittman · 0 · Posted

In order for tasks to run, the task servers must be online and logged in with the designated Clarity account at all times.

For 360 projects, the Autodesk identity token must also be valid, both on the task server and in the Clarity web portal.

Visibility on Server Availability During Task Creation

    Liam Cummings · 0 · Posted

Providing a heat map for server availability and peak times would help us balance our task load across servers more effectively. If this information was available at the point of task creation, admins could select the times when they knew their tasks were most likely to succeed. The heat map should be viewable as daily or weekly based on all currently scheduled tasks on the network.

Add Model Metrics for # of Models Linked by Internal & <Not Shared>

Liam Cummings · 2 · Last reply by Matt Mason

If we had a Model Metric for the number of models linked by Internal and another for those linked by <Not Shared>, we could use the Task to check how many models could be affected by updates to Shared Coordinates and which ones need to be adjusted before making updates.

  • Clarity Windows Task Server Settings

    Sherry Pittman · 0 · Posted

The Clarity Windows Task Server will process tasks that don’t require opening Revit.

Some of the setup is inside of the Clarity Revit Task Tray, but since this runs as a service by default, the rest happens in the properties of the service itself.

Settings in the Clarity Task Tray for Revit

To limit the Windows tasks run on the task server, open the Clarity task tray, select the Server and Edit, go to the Tasks tab, expand Windows and Uncheck any tasks you don’t want processed on this task server.

    Settings for the Service

Open the Services panel and select the

    Issue:

If you get an alert like this, that means that the Autodesk identity on the task server is no longer logged in.

ClarityRevitTaskServer: BIM360 Token Gone Bad TASKSERVER02

The Autodesk BIM360 Token on TASKSERVER02 has recently gone bad!

This is the Revit/AutoCAD sign-in, which is used to keep Autodesk products running in a batch mode. Clarity tasks will attempt to continue, but will likely be impacted!

REST API: Optional UserExternalId parameter when creating a task

We use the /REST/Task/{id} POST operation for creating "child" tasks from other tasks. These tasks show as having been created by the Clarity Administrator user. It would be great if that operation had an additional (optional) parameter to specify an actual user so that this user would get notified once the generated task is done.

REST API support for metrics management

It would be great to have API support for the process of merging metrics. That would of course include retrieving lists of models that metrics are currently being stored for.

Change wording of missing task server emails for paused task servers

Would it be possible to send a different kind of notification mail if a task server was merely paused, e.g. "... has been paused for ... hours"? Typically pausing a task server happens for a reason whereas a missing task server would require a fairly immediate reaction.

Timeline inaccurate when multiple timezones are involved

    Max M · 0 · Posted

The timeline (both the detailed and the regular timelines) in Clarity show incorrect times when the servers are in a different timezone from the user looking at the timeline.

For example, this photo was taken at 3:49pm PST, from a computer in the PST timezone.

As you can see, it currently shows the local time (red line) as 3:49pm, but it also shows several past events as happening several hours in the future. It seems it's displaying the timestamps from the local timezone of the server, without adjusting to the timezone of the web client.

  • Clarity Task Dialog Open in Revit When Task Tray Exited

    Sherry Pittman · 0 · Posted

    Issue

You are trying to test something manually in Revit on the task server, and the Task dialog is launching when you launch Revit, even though the Clarity Task Tray is exited.

    Cause

When the Clarity Task Tray for Revit is running, it puts an addin in the addins folder while Revit launches to pick up a task, when we are done with the task, we try to delete it...if we are unable to delete it due to permissions issues generally, then that dialog will come up even though the task tray is not running.

    Resolution
