Files might be locked by Navisworks

They're not.

Navisworks Conversion tasks have been failing and generating the following error:

44 found and filtered to 43 documents to process.
Sending 43 files to be processed.
Starting Navisworks for 43 combined files
Navisworks logging to C:\ProgramData\IMAGINiT Technologies\Clarity Task Server 2025\Logs\Navisworks\[Task ID]\NavisworksTask_[Task ID]\[destination-file].txt
Success running Navisworks conversion [destination-file].nwd
Processing output file 1/1 - [file output path]
Error: 1/1 files were not modified: [file output path]. None of the files were successfully processed. Check your Navisworks installation for issues.
Files might be locked by Navisworks. Enabling 'Close NWC\NWD files on load' in Navisworks to disable locking.

This error indicates that the destination file is locked.
In testing and troubleshooting, we have verified that the destination (nwd) file was not locked, and the setting in Options to enable 'Close NWC\NWD files on load'  had indeed been performed and verified several times.
When manually performing the conversion task, it was found that one of the source (nwc) files was corrupt, generated an error saying the same, and provided an OK button to acknowledge.  Manual conversion would then complete, and the destination nwd file would save as expected.

In further troubleshooting, the corrupt nwc file was deleted, the Clarity Navisworks Conversion task was re-ran, and the task successfully completed.

Hopefully, this helps someone out if they run in to the same issue.

Do you still have any diagnostics for this? Clarity could be more clear about the possible issues in the logging if we can detect this case.

Sorry it took so long Mandy!
I just submitted a case with an example.
Same scenario:  Clarity host log reported the 'files locked' error above, but no files were locked, Navis settings are correct, and one of the source .nwc files was corrupt.
Main issue here is that one must go to the task server to get the correct log info.
