automatically update project Revit version

It would be great if Clarity could see that a project has been upgraded to a newer Revit version and adjust itself accordingly.  We have had reports of users upgrading models and not informing our BIM Manager so Clarity fails because it is trying to run tasks with an older version of Revit.

Ken,

we don’t get any kind of notification when the version is changed on a project.

how often do you feel like it is reasonable to scan for that kind of change?

Matt,

If the scan isn't intensive, I think once a day would be good.  Any less than that would risk missing tasks.

Another idea would be to check version on task failure.  If tasks have been running on models and suddenly fail, Clarity could scan to see if the model version has changed.

Yes, check on task failure. This seems like a slam dunk for ACC/BIM360 projects where the version is fixed at the project level. The error message states the reason for failure is the wrong version, so you could even update the project and resend the task with the new version immediately.
