Provide an action to set all tasks to use "Only On Change".

Clarity sends emails about inactive projects that still have scheduled tasks running.  It would be great if Clarity had a "quick action" that could set all tasks for a project to run "Only On Change".  Or at least provide an individual action on the Setup Tasks page that would let us toggle "Only On Change" on or off without having to go in and edit each task.  It is currently much too time consuming to edit every single task to make this change.

Ken - fair point.

We do have alert notifications when tasks are being run on projects where the models have not changed within X days (I think by default we set it to 45 or 60).

In that case it suggests de-activating the project or setting the tasks to "only on change" (if they're not already).

But yes, we could offer an option to just make the change for you.

That is a little faster than the web interface.  But a pain point is that after I pick all the tasks for a project and select Tasks > Set Only On Change, the window disappears and I have to select Action > Manage Task Setups again.

It would be great if this utility could select all tasks that "have had no updates to the models in more than 60 days" so I could run the Set Only On Change command in a single step.

Since Clarity is all about saving time, what I want to see is whenever Clarity notifies us of an issue, it should provide a fast, simple method to respond to that issue.

Or even better, it should have a routine that automates the response.  Rather than just telling me about this issue, it would be great if there was a setting that said when a project has not received updates for X number of days (X being definable by me), then set all the tasks on this project to Only On Change.  I imagine that if this is a default for all projects, some people would still want the ability to over-ride it on a per project basis.  But by automating this, it saves us even more time.  Rather than telling me there is something I need to do, Clarity could just send me an email that stated that the following projects were not being updated and all their associated tasks are now set to Only On Change.

If you look in the host server, under the folder:

C:\Program Files\IMAGINiT Technologies\Tools

I think you'll find one there called "Clarity.TaskUtilities.exe".

It's a windows app that lets you do certain batch operations to Tasks - and one of them is to set all of the selected tasks to "Only On Change".
