End Date or One Time Schedule

Either have an "end date" (like we have a start date) for scheduled tasks, or a schedule type that is a one off.  Or maybe it's on demand, but it asks if you want to run immediately or at a later date/time.

Teams are often creating pdf printing tasks that they want run in the evening, but then forget to turn it off and it ends up running weekly.

Wow!  I think I just had forest->trees moment there, as the expression goes.  We just upgraded recently, so I didn't notice it yet.
Thanks Matt!

We did get this done in 2025.1...

I agree that both would be nice, but the until date would accomplish both without more buttons or selections.

Why not both?

I was just scheduling a task that I want to only happen once, and not re occur.

However, I could see the usefulness of having an End date on re occurring schedules.

My vote is to have a one-time future schedule for tasks. I think that this would be the most useful.

Both are great ideas - we need a one-off scheduled task.

For simplicity my Vote would be for an optional "Until Date".  I think it would be very easy to set this date to a single day in the future etc. to make the task a one off. But agree we would love to have this feature to schedule a single run late in the evening without having to wait up till midnight or remember to go in the next day and turn off the schedule :-D

Ray - an interesting idea...

Any others care to vote on this? and suggest whether it should be:

- A one-time schedule

- An optional "Until" date for the schedule?
