Add a Launch project button to the home page.
For BIM 360 projects launch a browser to the project.
For Local file share projects launch an Explorer window to the unc path of the project.
This is still a good idea Matt.
For BIM 360 projects I always add the url to the project home page. witch works to open another web tab to the BIM 360 Site. but I can not get the explorer to open on our network to the project path.

I think it's not typically possible to form a URL which reliably opens File Explorer to a UNC path, based on a link in an HTML page. I suspect it would be a security risk to do so.
