De-active projects do they still run?

If you set a project to de-active and still have the tasks set to run and do not have the set to on demand do, they still run?

  • How to Force an Update to Rerun

    Sherry Pittman · 0 · Posted

If an update doesn’t run properly for some reason, but it shows that it is the correct version, we can’t run the updater again.

To get around this issue we can modify the UpdateVersion.txt file to a lower value so that we can rerun the update.

    Host

    C:\Program Files\IMAGINiT Technologies\Clarity Monitoring Service

    Task Server

    C:\Program Files\IMAGINiT Technologies\Clarity Task Server for Revit

    Process

You will need to edit the UpdateVersion.txt file in Notepad.

The locations are shown above depending on if you need to rerun the Host or the Task Server update.

In the example below, I am on version 26.0.9,

    Executive Summary Email by time/task/server/global

Aaron · 1 · Last reply by Jonathan Roy

Automated Email of Executive summary of custom task Dashboard from tasks tab or just custom summary email by bracketed queries. "All Error tasks in previous 7 days" "Summary of This Task 4 days from date of report" "Summary of last weeks tasks globally/by Task Server" This is all information that is 'gettable' I'm just looking for an automation engine to email out to people that don't want, and don't need, their fingers in Clarity's workings. Most of these queries are not able to be emailed without my intervention...(copy/paste,Combinate, Format, etc...)  I would prefer to not have to manage it.

[ClarityProject:xxx] Keywords in Post Action tasks for Sharepoint URL etc.

    Patrick · 0 · Posted

Is it possible to use something like [ClarityProject:sharepoint] to specify the sharepoint site that will be used by several task post actions?  it doesn't seem like this function is currently possible?

Also curious if it is possible to do this for the Target field as well.

Right now we have to go update all of the tasks if we need to change these.

    Task splitting limit

    Derek Becher · 0 · Posted

Add options to the Global Task Server Configuration page to limit the number of child tasks created when splitting a task. Currently some of our PDF tasks are being split into more task than we have servers. This is causing a back log when all of the servers are tied up for 2-3 hours by one project. We would like to put a limit on the number or child tasks if a user's setting cause too many.

    Sheet Collections filter for PDFs

Dustin Gore · 2 · Last reply by Dustin Gore

Now that Revit models can have Sheet Collections, can this be added to the filtering options for PDFs?

Specifically for PDFs, but perhaps others could use it on some of the other export options as well.

  • Clarity Archive a Project

    Sherry Pittman · 0 · Posted

Archiving a Project enables you to make a full backup of your Clarity Project and all of its components:

    • Project Database
    • Tasks
    • File Filters
    • Datasheets
    • Reports
    • Project Artifacts
    • Revit Models (via pre-existing Clarity backups)

This process can be used to take Projects offline (and bring them back later), or to migrate a Project from one server to another.

    Notes About Archive Requirements:

    • The project must be Active (not deactivated in Clarity)
      • You can see deactivated projects from the Projects tab by selecting the icon shown below.
        • To reactivate, put a checkmark in the box of the project and select Activate.

Clarity Task Request: Enscape Batch Rendering

If you all could hack Enscape's rendering output and provide a way to batch render, I believe you'd gain some new customers and add A LOT of value for your existing Clarity customers.

Clarity project isn't seeing one of my models on ACC

    tanya · 0 · Posted

I have an exterior model that is on ACC but it keeps becoming missing from the list of models for tasks. I will have it one day and the task will run, but then the next day it disappears or shows some model that isn't on ACC and the task will fail. The file in the image highlighted is NOT on ACC. It should be the file named in the bottom image. This model was not renamed on ACC it was saved as with the correct file name. Audit and compact tasks did pick it up, but other tasks like

    Navisworks Export settings

Jason Metoyer · 1 · Last reply by Matt Mason

There are some settings in native Navisworks exports that are not included in Clarity's Navisworks settings: "Convert linked CAD formats" "Separate Custom properties" "Strict Sectioning" Type properties on Elements"

It would be great to control whether CAD links are exported, as well as turn off "Separate Custom properties" as you can through Revit.

Multiple PDFs Saved to Source File Locations

Neil Osher · 4 · Last reply by Neil Osher

We have a single PDF task whose Scope is set to "File" with a wildcard so that it will go into each subfolder on ACC (Arch, Mech, Elec, Struct, Plumb, etc.) and print the predefined Print Set. We want the resulting PDFs to end up next to the source models they originated from on the ACC hub. The Post Action BIM 360/ACC upload will only send it to a single folder. We would rather not create a discreet task for each discipline (x7). Are there other task options we are missing?
