How to Remove a Retired Task Server
Issue
You replaced a task server, but you can still see the old one on the Task Servers list
Cause
The task servers will drop off the last after Clarity hasn’t seen them for 21 days, unless there are still projects assigned to it.
You can force the removal as long as there are not projects assigned to the task server.
Solution
In the Clarity web portal, Task tab, Task Servers, select the task server to see if there are any projects assigned to it.
If there are Projects assigned, you will need to go to each of the projects

Ionic Zip Update Error
If you are trying to update the software and are running into the following error message
Could not load file or assembly Ionic.zip, you will need to copy the file from another location to resolve the issue.
Resolution
Log onto the host as the Application Pool identity
Through File Explorer, browse to: C:\Program Files\IMAGINiT Technologies\Clarity Monitoring Service
Copy the "Ionic.Zip.dll" file to a network location that you can access from the task server. Copy that dll into the following folder on your task server:
C:\Program Files\IMAGINiT Technologies\Clarity Task Server for Revit Make sure it isn't blocked by right clicking and

Is there a way to export a spreadsheet of all projects, tasks, and task schedules?
It's starting to get a little nuts with all of the projects we're adding. It would be nice to be able to setup a graph of all the projects, which tasks are under each project, and what the schedules are for each task.
The only thing that comes close (that I know of) is task timeline, but it cannot be exported and manipulated. We have to manually create and update a spreadsheet in order to get a visual of what all happens and when.
Is there a feature for this that I'm missing?

Publish Settings List Report
I'd love to be able to export a list of models with their named sets of Publish Settings. I could then see if there are any missing or misspelled sets the Print Range Clarity is looking for when exporting dwg's or pdf's.

Unified Sync task from ProjectWise to BIM360 is copying outdated versions of files
I have a task running to sync all the folders and files from ProjectWise to BIM360, and I noticed that files where the file name was modified are being copied over as the previous version. By that I mean the following: Original_File1.dwg Version " "
*name change*
Newname_File1.dwg Version "A"
*update*
Newname_File1.dwg Version "B"
Then the sync task runs, it creates 2 files, the Version " " with the old name, and the Version "B" with the updated data. It shouldn't copy the first original file

automatically update project Revit version
It would be great if Clarity could see that a project has been upgraded to a newer Revit version and adjust itself accordingly. We have had reports of users upgrading models and not informing our BIM Manager so Clarity fails because it is trying to run tasks with an older version of Revit.

Run a Navisworks appearance profiler during an NWF/NWC to NWD Navisworks conversion
We currently have tasks set up to create NWCs so our NWFs get updated automatically, and other tasks to convert that NWF to an NWD. However, we still have to open that NWD and apply an appearance profiler file so the system colours are correct before sharing the model. It would streamline the process if we could have an option to run an appearance profiler during a Navisworks conversion task.

Quick Button to plot a Linked Model, But not open
For Background, I know that when I open a model we can plot a linked model from the pyRevit plot command. But is there a way to automate this function through Clarity? We have the need to refer to another discipline sheets on the hub, and not everyone publishes their sheets like they should.
We need a way to be able to quickly plot links to pdf while NOT opening the other firms model.
On the ACC, I often only have View + Download permissions to other firms models. So, we can't open those links anyways.

Add Ability to turn off Log Preview in the Task Queue Screen
While the short preview of running logs is sometimes very useful in the task screen:
There are times when assessing a long queue that it would be very nice to have option to turn off the log previews to condense the list and make it easier to find the info i'm looking for. Would it be possible to toggle on/off the log preview?

Periodic Snapshot of Tasks Dashboard
For the purpose of high level task health monitoring it would be helpful to be able to set up an Alert or something similar that would send an email containing the task metrics for the last hour, day, etc... similar to the Dashboard page from the Tasks tab.
If I could have Clarity email just me or certain admins a dashboard that shows task health for the last hour, it could help catch systemic issues with the server or task machines earlier, especially if Clarity maintenance is not in my scope of work in a given day or week.

How to Increase the Size of the AdminWebservice Logs on the Host
The AdminWebservice logs, with the default settings will roll over at 100kb. If you have a large amount of data you have may roll over too quickly for us to find the information we need for diagnostics.
On the host machine go to the folder below and edit the Log4net.config as follows:
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\CentralWebservices
Change the value as shown below to increase the file size to 1mb.
<maximumFileSize value="1000000" />
You can also increase the quantity if you like.
You may get an error when trying to save the file, so Save As and make sure that the Save as Type

Clarity Task Tray Proxy Config for Sending Task Diagnostics from Completed Task ID
Issue:
Error sending task diagnostics from the host when things are locked down due to security reasons.
If sending diagnostics normally works, then clearing the logs folder will likely resolve the issue and this configuration change is not needed.
Please refer to the following blog to clear the logs folder: https://imaginit.helprace.com/i602-how-to-clear-the-task-server-logs-folder
Process:
- Log onto the task server as the designated Clarity account
- Exit the Clarity task tray and stop the Clarity Windows task server service in Services
- Zip the content of the logs folder (replace the highlighted value with your version of Clarity if different): C:\ProgramData\IMAGINiT Technologies\Clarity Task Server 2024\Logs
- Delete

Clarity Task Server Post Action Wait Time Configuration
It may be necessary to increase the amount of time we wait before trying to send files to post action. The default wait time is 30 seconds.
Increasing the wait time may be needed if you are seeing errors like this on tasks during post action:
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process: UNKNOWN APPLICATION (NONE FOUND)"
To make this configuration change we will need to add a line to the ClarityRevitTaskServer.dll.config file located in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\IMAGINiT Technologies\Clarity Task Server for Revit
Process

Clarity Database Export Errors
Prior to running a Revit Database Export, there is no defined data for the parameters. Once the first model is run, it sets those values, so all other models with the same parameter name, must have the same types of data set in the parameter or you will get errors.
What that means is, if I look at the first example below BoxSize is expecting an integer, but in the model that it is running on now, it is formatted as a text parameter. The data type must be the same in all models.
Error Examples
- An error occurred during export

Process

How to Backup the RandRevit Database
The RandRevit database is where all the information for projects, tasks and more is housed, so having a current backup on hand is always a good idea.
Setting an Automated Backup in Settings
There is a configuration for this in Settings on the General tab to Backup the System Database.
The system will attempt, once per week, to make a backup of the RandRevit centralized database to the Backups folder defined in settings.
Manually Backing up the Database
Connecting to the database
RDP into the machine where the SQL Database is installed, if you are using the SQL database installed with Clarity it will
