Has anyone had any experience working with room data sheets and linked MEP models? We have an arch model set up with the room data sheets sourced from the arch model, and an MEP model linked into the arch model. Curious to know if the RDS reads linked model data. If so, what are the steps to achieve this?

Thanks Matt. Testing this out with a few trial models now. Related to this process, is there a facility for purging previous DB Exports in a clarity project? I have several test models in a clarity test project which where previously used to extract data. This has left us with a lot of messy data to work around. It would be good if we can wipe previous exported data and start from scratch.

yes- it does work to have MEP model content picked up in the Architecture model’s room datasheets.
it should happen automatically, however, the first time that you run the RevitDBExport task to populate the data, it may be necessary to export a second time (ultimately, to keep the room relationships correctly, the Rooms should be exported last. This should happen automatically after the first time).
