IFC Alternate - Unable to retrieve custom IFC export settings

Hello,

In the Alternate IFC In the configuration of "Configuration Name" I cannot retrieve my personalized export parameters from my Revit model. I tried to do DBexport but nothing or done. For information, my central model is on BIM 360.

What version of Clarity are you running?

are you able to just type in the proper value, and it works at runtime?

Hello Matt,

Thanks for your return, we use clarity on the web.

I just tried to put manually because my personalized configuration does not appear in the drop-down menu the name of the custom configuration in the search bar and it didn't work. The error message says wich don't find the custom configuration "The specified configuration name: ************** was not found in the model"

I don't understand because the DBexport work's for all excepted the personal IFC set.

We'll investigate the "personalized configuration" and make sure we know where that is stored.

Hi I have some news!

I re-saved the JSON file on our server then redid a DBexport and the name of my JSON file did appear in "Configuration Name" however it did not work at the end of the task I still have the same error message "The specified configuration name: ************** was not found in the model".

In addition, this reconfiguration of IFC did not work on all the models concerned.

Hello Matt !

My best wishes for the new year.

Have you found a solution to make sure that the custom IFC export parameters appear in IFC alternate?

Thank you for your return.

YC

Cesario - our apologies for the delay on this issue, and a misunderstanding.
We thought that when you mentioned a "personalized configuration", you were referring to a new feature within the exporter, not the configurations that are stored within the model.

1. We have identified the issue now, and a fix has been put in to be delivered in the next update of Clarity 2022.1 Task Server

2. In the meantime, it will work if you just hand-type in the name of your configuration into our task parameter - the dropdown list is just for your convenience in configuring.

Hello Matt !

Thank you for this feedback ! However I had already tried this option and I just tried again but nothing worked. Here is the error message :

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The task did NOT complete successfully. Contact your system administrator to determine why.

Debug Information:

The specified configuration name: IFC_BIMTRACK_SQI_HPLG was not found in the model. Valid Configurations: IFC2x3 Coordination View 2.0,IFC2x3 Coordination View,IFC2x3 GSA Concept Design BIM 2010,IFC2x3 Basic FM Handover View,IFC2x2 Coordination View,IFC2x3 COBie 2.4 Design Deliverable,IFC4 Reference View [Architecture],IFC4 Reference View [Structural],IFC4 Reference View [BuildingService],IFC4 Design Transfer View

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the configuration "Configuration Name" of IFC Alternante task I manually enter my internal setting "IFC_BIMTRACK_SQI_HPLG" but it still does not work.

Thank you in advance for your return.

I'm having the same problem as Cesario, and as he described, manually typing in the name of the configuration does not work.   I also tried exporting the Revit database, but that didn't help. I'm running Clarity Task Server 2022.1.8265.15928

Running IFCAlternate with the custom configuration manually typed in returns the error "The specified configuration name: ************** was not found in the model"

The list shown in Clarity under Configuration Names is a different list from the one shown in the revit file's IFC setup list.
