relative path

A folder structure is constant (more or less) from project to project. It would be very helpful to specify a path for actions relative to the Revit project folder. It would save time on copying tasks from project to project - no need to adjust the UNC path for every project.

Thank you.

Hello Matt,

It is a good point that I can use keywords like [Project Number]. Thank you for the tip.

Yes, I agree it impossible to have relative path for BIM360 and Revit Server based projects, but it should be helpful for file based project (99% of projects in our company). Here is a typical structure for a Revit project:

I place my scripts to the =Scripts= folder and process files generated by Clarity relative to the script location or relative to the Revit project. The thing is that the Revit project folder location is not constant and it can be in different folders under the project number, it can be a number of Revit projects for different disciplines, electrical, mechanical. But scripts everywhere should be the same. It would me too much work to modify them depending of the actual script location. You know how the Windows shortcuts work:

The “Start in” folder is defined by default with the script location. I would like the Clarity do the same substitution automatically. Optionally it can be a checkmark:

… or any other way you find reasonable.

Best Regards,

One challenge for this is that it makes sense for file-based projects, but not really for BIM360, Revit Server or ProjectWise projects.

That said, I believe we do have an option called [ProjectFolder] that works specifically for file-based projects. See here:
