Cleanup of BIM360 Cache

Would it be possible to make the Cleanup more frequent and/or more aggressive? Hourly cleanup would be ideal if it were able to detect and skip the cache associated with any active Revit Sessions and delete all the others. BIM 360 Cache is chewing up space at an alarming rate.

We can re-look at it...

What do people want for caches? effectively no cache - always repopulate the model from scratch?

I think we're struggling with identifying what should be left behind in the cache?

Hey Matt, That's great, really appreciate you guys taking another look at options! I understand each business will have their own preferences - but for the way We use Clarity, having no cache left-over would be fantastic. We have too many models opened frequently to accommodate the space requirements for maintaining the cache. And for our workflow the additional time to open from scratch is acceptable

Hey Matt,

Wondering if this has been looked at again recently? Or can it?

We have our Bim 360 Cache set to once a day which I think is still the most frequent option?

But due to the number of unique models our system works on daily - we still have to clear out the collaboration cache manually more frequently. Our workflow is lots of short tasks on lots of files.

The CEF cache clearout aggressive option which clears out after every Job is fantastic - and something like that for the 360 collaboration cache (which gets a lot bigger then the CEF cache) would be an amazing feature

Steve,

If you hand-edit the TaskServer config file, you should find a setting called "BIM360CacheDaysToKeep" - I think it's set to 7 by default...  To make it happen more often would take some work - but with what you have now, it will run once per day, and you can use the above setting to keep less of the models in question.
