ClarityPDF

How can we control the bookmarks created by the ClarityPDF driver?

We have a client that utilizes Bluebeam for project reviews with very specific bookmarking requirements.  The ClarityPDF driver is creating a “sheets” bookmark.  Removing this after the fact is a serious chore.

The bluebeam pdf driver in Revit has the ability to turn this on/off.  We don't currently have a Bluebeam license to install on our task servers.

Tom - remind me what settings you are using in your PDF task, specifically:

- Single PDF: Yes (obviously)
- Collation: Clarity? or Revit

Right now, choosing the "Revit" option might not have the outline (but there are other down-sides on the naming convention available). I believe that the Clarity collation option will make an outline - but that is something that we'd be willing to turn off for you with some kind of setting.

Matt -

Single PDF is set to 'No'.  Clarity is creating a separate PDF for each sheet, and each PDF has the 'sheets' bookmark.

Print Collation is set to Clarity.

I think our preference is to print individual PDF's for each sheet.  Most of the time, we end up handling them as individual sheets.  When we need to combine them, we are also adding PDF's from consultants, so combining the architectural isn't necessarily any added effort.

I restarted the task tray and was able to test the Newforma PDF driver.  However, that didn't solve the original problem.

Is there a way to control the bookmarks being created by the ClarityPDF driver?

Thanks!

Tom,

did you restart the task tray after installing?

We have tried to install a couple of other PDF drivers (Bluebeam and Newforma) on our task servers, but we can't seem to configure Clarity to use those?
