The Data Sheet categories for instances should include Mass families. With so many room data sheet workflows, using addins to make blocks of Masses, this would be a good category to add. Egan Space Planning tool makes mass family blocks to hold room data information based on a spreadsheet of room size requirements.

There are a number of other similar workflows with Dynamo or other addins. The process is to move the blocks around to inform the design and then transfer the info into rooms. I'd love to see masses added to the categories so I can create data sheets that look like the room data sheets to collect info about the room as the project develops. Eventually, the masses get ditched for rooms.
