Autodesk Secure Service Accounts: Pros and Cons
Autodesk Secure Service Accounts are a new mechanism for connecting to project data specifically designed for application to application access. Although the usage is very similar to the existing ACC/BIM 360 Authorization in Clarity, there are some distinct differences. Â
Advantages of using a Secure Service Account to access Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360:
- More secure than a traditional OAuth connection:

Clarity Cloud Hybrid
IMAGINiT is excited to announce a new option for the Clarity Cloud environment:Â Hybrid Clarity Task Servers.
What Does This Mean?
From a Clarity Cloud tenant, you can choose where your tasks are executed:
- In the Cloud, using Autodesk APS Design Automation (pay-per-hour)
- On Premise, using your own hardware software (fixed price-per-year)
Having tasks execute on-premise addresses a number of issues:
- Can perform tasks that require access to local software and resources (i.e. Navisworks Exporters, PDF, etc)
- Allows you to specify the appropriate hardware to open Revit models (for example, if 64 GB RAM is required)
- Controls your cost for

Clarity Cloud Project Requirements
Clarity Cloud only supports projects hosted in the Autodesk Cloud. All output is saved in the cloud. There is now a hybrid option to process tasks locally, but the output is still sent to the cloud.
