Global Scheduling Controls
Administrators gain new oversight capabilities with global task scheduling enforcement. Set firm-wide limits on task frequency and timing to better balance workload distribution and maintain optimal system performance across your organization.

Direct ACC Publish Task
A new task type enables direct publishing to Autodesk Construction Cloud without launching Revit. Schedule model updates to ACC as frequently as your workflow demands while reducing computational overhead and processing time.

ACC Docs to PDF Automation
Automatically convert published ACC models into PDF documentation on your preferred schedule. Configure custom naming patterns, combine into one file, and output settings to ensure deliverables match your documentation standards without manual intervention.

Getting Started

SP2 is available immediately through Clarity's built-in update system. Launch Clarity 2026 and check for updates to access these capabilities.

What’s New?

• Improved Setup Task Page – Filter tasks by name or category to quickly find what you need
• New Drafting View Extraction Task – Extract Revit drafting views to a new Revit model

When 16.3 Desktop Connector was released, some customers saw problems with our automation to auto-select projects. On August 3rd, we released a task server update that mitigates the issues that were seen.

We still recommend staying on Desktop Connector 15.8 for as long as you can, but we realize that everyone will eventually be dragged into 16.x by circumstances. Please make sure that you keep your task servers up-to-date to receive the newest updates.

For clients using named user licensing, Autodesk has started enforcing that one named user cannot be logged in on 3 machines at the same time doing work.  When that happens, you will see the following warning, which will only allow you to have this user account accessing software on one machine at a time.

What Autodesk has told us in these cases is: The legitimate way of using Clarity with named-user licenses, is to have each task server have a separate email (user license) for each task server, just as if you had robotic interns sitting at each one doing work.

We want you to be aware that it is your responsibility to bring valid Autodesk licenses to each task server in order to stay in compliance.

(NOTE: We believe that some Clarity customers running with Flex Token-based licenses or specific Enterprise Business Agreement terms with Autodesk do not have this issue, but we do not know many specifics of this).

We understand it's more work now that each Task Server needs to have a separate license, this makes more for you to manage.  Additionally, these extra users must be assigned to the relevant projects in BIM 360 / ACC, etc.

Unfortunately, there is no real getting around it for named-user licenses.

This behavior just started last week. We are now taking steps to be aware of this pop-up dialog and try to alert the responsible users should it be seen. This will be available in an upcoming Task Server update.

You can still have one user as the Oauth in Clarity that is assigned to the project so you can add the project to Clarity, but you will need to add the two new Autodesk identities to all the 360 projects you have in Clarity, with the same 360 project settings as the current Oauth account in Clarity.  That will ensure that any task server can still process any project.

How Do I Get It?

The designated contact for your firm will receive email(s) in the next day:

• For Annual Subscribers, you'll have to contact support (at) rand.com to get your authorization code reset.
• For Perpetual License/Maintenance owners, you'll receive new authorization codes via email.

How Do I Deploy It?

This is a major update, so you'll be running the "Setup.exe" on Clarity Host and Task Servers.

In order to be fully supported for all features of integration with BIM360, you must be updated to at least the following Clarity Updates to not encounter problems (depending on your Clarity version):

Older versions are not currently planned to be supported.

Updates are applied by running the IMAGINiT.Updater application on each Clarity Host or Task Server (it typically takes just 15-30 seconds to update).

If there are reasons why you cannot upgrade, please reach out to us and let us know via support @ rand. com.

In reviewing the feedback from the survey here, we saw that a lot of people had updated to our recently recommended Desktop Connector (15.4) - but were still encountering issues with tokens.

We continued to work with Autodesk on why this was - and we recently realized that a significant percentage of companies that deployed Desktop Connector 15.4 or 15.5 STILL did not get the update to ADSSO that was supposed to be included in these updates. It is not clear why. But the key to fixing the token issue is technically not with Desktop Connector but AdSSO - Desktop Connector is just the vehicle to deliver you an updated AdSSO.

Anyway...

Last week Autodesk released a new version of Desktop Connector - 15.6 - which resolves whatever the issue was with not installing the AdSSO update. Click here for download.

If your token problems did not go away with Desktop Connector 15.4/15.5 - we recommend updating again...

Autodesk today released Desktop Connector 15.4.0.1677

According to one Clarity customer who was involved in pre-release testing of this version, it resolved more than 70% of the "lost token" issues. While this is not 100% - we're extremely grateful for this kind of progress.

We strongly recommend deploying this version of Desktop Connector to anyone who has had issues of the BIM360 token being lost.
